"I'm really proud to be have the opportunity to re-establish a snooker club in Dublin and I'm excited about the development of the academy to produce Ireland's next World Snooker champion"
Kens championship table will be the centerpiece of the club and Ken will practice at the club on a daily basis.
He is happy to provide casual tips and to provide the benefit of his experience to club members.
The academy will initially focus on identifying and nurturing talent in Dublin and eventually will bring talent from around the country.
"It's always been a dream of mine to establish a club and academy, where I can could pass on the benefits of the experience I've built up. I think I can help people to realise their potential in the game, if they are really focused and committed to it."
The academy is in discussions with Dublin City Council to become involved in its social inclusion and racial integration projects. This is one of the great things about sport...
"Talent is talent, and if nurtured it can overcome social and racial barriers. We hope to nurture this talent and produce a new generation of Irish professional snooker players."
In addition to producing Ireland's next World Snooker Champion, the academy will look to foreign markets to bring aspiring world champions to Ireland.
"The game is growing strongly throughout Europe and Asia. In the future, we would hope to bring aspiring players to Dublin and to create a breeding ground of talent here in Dublin".
Ken is curently offering discounted membership - 50% off the standard membership fee.
